3 May 2008.

Had a fantastic week a the cottage and definitely hope to return. Plenty of room for our 2 famalies and cottage extremely well equipped. Children loved the garden and the men loved the BBQ and patio. Due to the gorgeous weather think we had about 7 BBQs  in all. Had to force ourselves inside to make use of the log fire. Have to say thank you to rob who gave us a very friendly welcome and was always on hand if you needed him. Taking the recycling regulary to save our embarresmnt at the overflow!! The village of Glenridding had everythingwe needed, great walks manageable with young family, childrens park and of course the lake! We have eaten and drank almost everywhere in village and would recommend pizzas at the Ratchers and drinks at the Travellers Rest.

We would also certainly recommend this lovely cottage to all our friends and family x

We have had a nice time in this cosy, well- equipped cottage. It was plenty big enough for 6 of us. The sun room is very nice and was used  a lot. We also loved the garden and enjoyed sitting out there to eat breakfast some mornings. The weather has been cloudy with some rain, but we still went on some nice walks: up Glenridding Dodd, to Brotherswater, and to see Aira Force waterfalls. The Puzzling Place – an optical illusion place – is very good in Keswiick We also went to the climbing wall centre in Keswick which was also fun. On Friday the weather was good enough to enjoy a day at Silecroft Beach – cloudy but quite warm. Overall we had agreat time in a lovely cottage. Thanks

13 September 2008

Have thoroughly enjoyed our week here. The weather has been kind, only one really bad day! Have done plenty of walking, unfortunately have always had the cloud around the Peaks so haven’t been able to enjoy the views, but have enjoyed the walks no the less!  Bath a god sent for the aching limbs. Love the upstairs room, taking in the views from the balcony. Cottage has everything we needed and spot-lessly clean on arrival. Robert was very pleasant and helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend cottage and hope to return here ourselves. Thanks very much

What fantastic weather weve had all week, blue skies everyday. The house is wonderful, in a perfect location in a great village. Weve done lots of walking, the highlights of which were the walk back from Howtown after the Steamer ride and the walk up Helvellyn (although the ice did make it a bit hairy in places!) Spent many evenings in front of the fire in the cottage but also frequented the Travellers rest (definitely the best pub in the village) and spent New Years Eve there with the friendly locals. Had a nice meal at the Ratchers on our last evening – the sticky Toffee pudding deserves special mention!

Many Thanks for a perfect week.
